Sympathy Card - masculine or feminine

A neighbor friend of my son's mother passed away so I made this card for my son to give to him.  It's a very sad and long story about this 12 year old boy who has experienced more in life that any one person should have to endure, especially an innocent child.  Thank the good Lord though that he's now in a loving home and living a somewhat normal life.

Goodies used ~
  • PTI Ripe Avocado base cardstock
  • Misc white cardstock, Hero Arts Silhouette Grass stamp, embossed with clear embossing powder
  • Ranger Distressed Inks used in background - Old Paper, Weathered Wood, and Scattered Straw
  • PTI Background Basics text stamp used in Ranger DI Antique Linen - the picture doesn't really show the text as it's very subtle.  I've since made some cards and used the DI Pumice Stone with a different Script stamp and think it looks WAY better  :)
  • Ribbon used is PTI Enchanted Evening
  • Martha Stewart Butterflies punched from PTI Enchanted Evening cardstock and copper pearls added
  • Inside stamp is from Unity "with sympathy"  - I LOVE this stamp set and sentiment! Inside cardstock is PTI Rustic Cream
  • I also distressed the edges of the outside layer.
Thanks for stopping by.
Toodles,   Jude
